Bi-Rite Creamery

If you live in San Francisco or in the Bay Area and you have not gone to Bi-Rite Creamery, get in your car, jump on the bus or get on your bike and head over to the Mission for an amazing ice cream experience. My absolute favorite is the Salted Caramel ice cream, which happens to be number 35 on 7x7 's list, "The 2009 Big Eat SF: 100 Things to Try Before You Die". If you head over there on the weekend and there is a line down the street and around the corner, than you might want to hit up the Bi-Rite Market right down the street and pick yourself up a pint or quart of the ice cream and save yourself some time. I would have to say that the Salted Caramel from Bi-Rite Creamery might be my favorite ice cream or tied for first place along with the Salted Caramel from Glacier Berthillon on Ile Saint Louis in Paris, France. I probably need to head back to Paris soon to do a taste comparison!
