Holiday Cards with Minted - $150 Giveaway

It's holiday card time again!  What happened to the year - it has flown by!  I'm excited to be partnering with Minted again this holiday season for a fabulous giveaway to my Savvy in San Francisco readers!  A $150 gift card to be used for anything on their site (holiday cards, art, party invitations). 

I've been looking through my pictures trying to figure out which ones that I want to use for our card and I need to get moving on it quickly to get them out in time.  I'm just glad that Minted is there to help me during this crazy busy time of year with their addressing service.  I don't know about you, but once I order the cards I am notorious for taking forever to actually address them.  I might have to let Minted do the hard part for me this year, so I can be free to focus on all the other holiday prep.

EQ3 Furniture Store Opening in San Francisco & a Giveaway

        
EQ3, a modern furniture company is opening their first retail showroom in San Francisco Design District.  The doors officially open this Saturday, May 31st, in a newly renovated 12,000 sq ft original warehouse building.  Their are two distint areas in the warehouse: the front half of the showroom showcases EQ3's accessory boutique alongside highlights from their furniture line and the second half holds the entire EQ3 furniture collection.  

EQ3's partnership with Finnish design house, Marimekko, will continue in the new San Francisco space with a small curated shop-in-shop within the showroom.  The new location will house EQ3's signature custom-made upholstered designs and home furnishings, along with its EQ3+ line and a handpicked selection of internationally renowned products from iconic brands like Herman Miller and Alessi.  

EQ3 has given Savvy in San Francisco two VIP tickets to the opening shopping event on Saturday from 9:00-11:00am. The VIP ticket holders will be able to preview the store from 9:00-11:00am with breakfast and a VIP gift bag valued at $140 including a $50 EQ3 gift card, items from Marimekko, EQ3 and other modern brands.

Nivea Tropical Escape - Giveaway

When NIVEA approached me about trying the NIVEA Escape Challenge, I thought what a great way to get ready for our upcoming trip to Maui!  Trying out NIVEA's new hydrating shower gel would not only prep my skin for a tropical vacation by hydrating it but it would allow my mind to escape to a tropical retreat in my own shower with the scent of the frangipani flowers.

Nivea sent me a kit containing the Touch of Frangipani Hydrating Shower Gel (featured in the July issue of Allure Magazine as an Editor's Favorites), a pair of Havaianas Flip Flops and a $50 1-800-FLOWERS Gift Card.  The goal was to see how our skin felt after using the hydrating shower gel after 10 days while creating our own little tropical escape.  They challenged us to slow down and enjoy our shower experience.  So many mornings I am rushing through the shower process so quickly that I'm not taking a second just to take a moment for myself. 

I have to say that after two weeks, my skin has felt softer and I have been more aware of slowing down just a little bit to take a little time for myself (which we all know that we all could use a little bit more me time for ourselves).

Giveaway - DODOcase iPad Sleeve

When DODOcase asked me if I would like to partner with them for a giveaway and test out their new Durables collection, I jumped at the chance.  Not only are they a local San Francisco company, but they make really cool accessories for all of your tech gadget needs.  The Durables collection is their new hand-sewn wallets and sleeves and their first soft fabric products from DODOcase.  They have a natural waxed canvas exteriors with bright colored interiors.  The Durables are modern in functionality yet traditional in construction and materials. 

What I loved about this natural colored iPad sleeve was that it was chic looking while still gender neutral with a fun pop of yellow inside for me!  Often you will find Carlos holding an iPad with a snakeskin, leopard print or pink cover on it.  But this sleeve is great for both of us to share!

Cheers to the Weekend

Cheers to the weekend!  This week has been about getting back into our routine after vacation - school, eating and the gym.  It's been a pretty successful week since I've been to the gym twice and I'm headed there tomorrow, I've lost three more pounds (woot woot) since before leaving on vacation (which I didn't think would be possible while trying to eat at kid-friendly restaurants), managed to get Landon to school on time (barely) and I had a fun and much needed girls night out on Thursday.

This weekend we are excited to enjoy this gorgeous weather (tell me the rain isn't coming in March) by heading to the Farmer's Market.  Then in the evening we will be helping the lovely, Erin, of Apartment 34 and her husband celebrate their new loft!  Then we are headed over to Local's Corner to try out this Mission neighborhood seafood spin-off from Local Mission Eatery.

Hopefully next week I will be able to share more pictures from our road trip, pictures from the opening launch party for Freda Salvador and a fun giveaway for all of those mommas or mommas to be!

Sunset at La Jolla Shores

It's our last day in San Diego and they we are going to make the dreaded drive back to the Bay Area!  Maybe they will just sleep the whole way (a girl can dream, right)?  Today we are headed out to enjoy this warmer weather (finally) while checking out the lighthouse and tide pools at Point Loma, Coronado Island for lunch and maybe the USS Midway to check out the retired Navy aircraft carrier.
