Tiburon Walk - Blackie's Pasture

If you are looking for an adventure outside of the city, head to Blackie's Pasture in Tiburon. Blackie's Pasture (named after a famous horse) is on the corner of Tiburon Blvd and Trestle Glen Road. They have an amazing paved path that people are walking, running or riding their bikes along. About half way down the trail there are two playgrounds (one for toddlers and one for older children). When I walk there during the week, there is usually only a couple of kids on the playground, so the kids can feel like it is their own private playground. On the right side of the trail is the bay with views of Sausalito and San Francisco. On the left side is field after field of grass, where kids are playing soccer or dogs are running around playing. If you are feeling really ambitious, you could walk all the way down to downtown Tiburon for lunch. But if you are just up to get some exercise for you or the family, then it is great just to walk to a certain point and then turn around and hit the playground on the way back. Then once you get back to the car, you could head into Mill Valley for some delicious flatbread pizzas at Small Shed Flatbreads. The above pictures were all taken with my iPhone. As you can see, it's still a pretty cool view on a foggy day as it is a sunny day. Have an amazing weekend!
