Tasty Treats - Farmshop

Our starter was Burrata cheese, crispy artichokes, cracked green kalamata olives, fried capers and mustard greens  and my main dish was California Halibut with full belly farm cracked wheat, smashed golden beets, vadouvan spiced leeks and pickled walnut pesto.
Farmshop restaurant just opened up at the beginning of May in Marin Country Mart.  Farmshop is the baby of Chef Jeff Cerciello who started Farmshop down in Santa Monica.  Jeff formerly worked for Thomas Keller at French Laundry and Bouchon.  It is a farm-to-table restaurant highlighting a lot of our fabulous local farms.

Not that you needed it, but this is another reason that you should jump on the ferry in San Francisco and cross the bay over to Larkspur (Marin Country Mart is right across the street from the Larkspur Ferry).  Come over on Saturday for the Farmers Market or on Sunday for Off the Grid (food trucks) and then enjoy cocktails and dinner at Farmshop.  The cocktails and the food were fresh delicious.

The space is huge and was gorgeously designed by Kira Cunningham (Jeff Cerciello's wife) and Commune Design.  Right now they are only open for dinner, but will soon be expanding to lunch and brunch.  They have a fabulous outdoor space that will be amazing to sit in on a gorgeous day and listen to the live music that is often playing at Marin Country Mart.
