PishPosh Mommy Giveaway

When PishPosh Mommy approached me about writing a post and having a giveaway on my blog, I was thrilled to share their products with you guys.  I am pretty passionate about their quick zip carryall organizers! I wrote about them back in May from a mommy perspective.  I love using it as my diaper bag in many of my fun totes and purses as opposed to carrying around a normal diaper bag.  I have always changed my purse on a daily basis to coordinate with my outfit, so I fell in love with the zip carryall when I saw it.  It allowed me to quickly change out my bag without worrying that I had moved everything from one purse to the other.  With three bambinos, I needed to be able to easily grab my purse/tote of choice and insert the carryall and go!

But this carryall is not just for mommies!  Since I shared the mommy perspective last time (diapers, wipes, binkies, etc), I thought I would share how the fashionista could utilize the carryall for their everyday use.   It is really for any fashionista that is constantly changing her purse!  It keeps all of your items in your purse organized with all of the many pockets on the inside and outside so you don't end up digging endlessly through your purse looking for your cell phone or favorite lipstick.

Another one of their versatile products is their Diaper Clutch that could easily go from diaper clutch by day to clutch at night. It is a great stocking stuffer gift!

Right now, PishPosh Mommy is having holiday specials on their Facebook page and offering free domestic shipping for the holidays! Also, PishPosh is offering all of my readers a 20% discount (coupon code SAVVYSF) to shop with online through the end of December! Make sure that you order by the 19th to receive it by the 23rd!

I am also testing a new giveaway tool, Rafflecopter, to help me with my giveaway! It should make it a lot EASIER for you to enter! Let me know what you think!

The giveaway will run through next Thursday, December 15th. To enter you must leave a comment and be a follower (GFC) of Savvy in San Francisco. To earn additional entries, there is a list below in the Rafflecopter of things you can do!  Good luck!!

Happy shopping!

*I purchased my products and they were not provided to me by PishPosh Mommy.

Daffodils - A Little Bit of Sunshine

I adore daffodils and I love when they come into season. First of all they are so bright and cheerful and second they are so cheap. With all of this rain that we have been having it is nice to add a little sunshine in your house! You can buy them at Trader Joes, Whole Foods or Safeway - usually for 3 bunches of 10 for $5. I have a lot of tall vases and not too many shorter vases, so I had to resort to using my one of my large mason jars (which I love to use for water and iced tea). The timing worked out great too since I had Landon's 4th birthday party (will post pics later this week) this weekend and we had a construction theme. The bright yellow daffodils and the orange tulips were just the perfect touch.  I hope that everyone had a great weekend and is ready for the week!

My New Best Friend - Nespresso

Carlos' first mistake was telling me about the Nespresso Citiz D120 machine (even though he wanted to get it for me for Mother's Day). Once you tell me about something, then I become obsessed with it and need to have it now. I would never be able to wait until Mother's Day. Every time I tell him that I love it, he says, "Happy Mother's Day". I don't think so! ;-) We have had a Keurig machine and for the last two years I had a little coffee/latte bar set up. But the Keurig machine makes coffee, not espresso. So my version of the vanilla latte was a little on the watered down side. My Nespresso Citiz machine arrived last Thursday and I have been obsessed with it. Literally I think it tastes better than my Peets or Starbucks lattes! So delicious and it only takes 90 seconds. You literally just pour milk in the frother and push the button (heats and froths in 80 seconds) and pop an espresso capsule in the machine and press the espresso or the lungo button. Of course, I am only having one a day and maybe a decaf in the afternoon, since I am preggers. The capsules cost about $.55 per capsule. So my Savvy savings are about $3.00 - $4.00 a day by not buying a latte.

Another iPhone Photo App - Diptic

My newest app obsession for my iPhone is Diptic. It is a great app that lets you put together photo collages out of your pictures from your iPhone.

High Gloss & Matchbook Magazines

As if I didn't have enough distractions in my life, there are two new adorable digital magazines that just put out their premier issues in the last week, High Gloss and Matchbook.

It is strange how hard it has become for me to pick up a real magazine these days.  I order them, they stack up and then they get piled into our coffee table to die. If Carlos asks, YES, I am going to read them some day soon. It just seems easier to checkout a magazine online while I am surfing around on my computer and distracting myself from everything else that I am supposed to be doing.  This should make Carlos really happy that there are more and more digital magazines popping up and hopefully that will mean my subscriptions that come via snail mail will come to a halt. If you have an iPad, there is a fun FREE app called Zinio, where you can subscribe to your favorite magazines, Elle, Living, Rolling Stone and you can even get your weekly smut update via US Weekly. You can also download Zinio onto your iPhone or your desktop. Some people like to physically hold their magazines, but I for one am interested in decluttering my life with all this excess stuff that is swallowing up our house!

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!! It is supposed to be 69 degrees in San Francisco tomorrow and I am thrilled!

San Francisco Spas

My good friend, Maile, asked me for recommendations for San Francisco Spas, so I thought I would share my favorites with all of you.

My favorite spa in the city hands down is Nob Hill Spa at The Huntington Hotel. I have been there a bunch of times including a bachelorette spa day. They have a small terrace (rare in SF) but it can be pretty cold if it is a foggy day. If not, it is nice to sit outside in your robe and enjoy the sunshine while reading your favorite magazine. Inside they have a hot tub, swimming pool, sauna and steam room along with their treatment rooms. If you go, I recommend making a long day of it. Go before hand and enjoy the pool and the terrace and then after your treatment, enjoy some lunch of their spa menu (my favorite is the fresh lobster spring rolls - mmmmmm).
I also love the Remede Spa at the St. Regis. They also have an indoor pool, steam room, spa and sauna, but no outdoor space. The fun little treat is their waiting room. While it is on the smaller side, they have cheese, fruits, chocolate and champagne for you while you wait. Did I mention the champers?? I have gone to the Remede Spa a couple of times and always made sure I get my moneys worth out of the extra "perks".
I have not been to the Cavallo Point Spa, but it is on my list of go to places. It is literally tucked into the hills right below the Golden Gate Bridge with an amazing view of San Francisco. It used to be a military base and they converted it into a beautiful hotel with an option to stay in their modern hotel or one of the historic houses. They also have a delicious restaurant, Murray Circle, that we have enjoyed brunch at in the past. Hopefully, I will be able to go check out the spa soon and will report back to you!

Pot Pie

Shortly after I had Landon, my friend, Ingri, came to visit us and brought us the most A-M-A-Z-I-N-G chicken pot pie. I have tried many chicken pot pies and made a handful as well, but this truly is the best chicken pot pie I have ever had. She bought it at Woodlands Market in Kentfield (They also have locations in Tiburon and Ross). There is something about the crust - it's actually ALL about the flaky, savory crust! They make a vegetable pot pie which is EQUALLY as good as the chicken pot pie if you are a vegetarian. As you can see from the label above - it's a little pricey (but worth every penny) and has a short list of ingredients (but somehow they can take that short list of ingredients and create magic). While you are there, you can pick up one of their yummy salads to go with the pot pie and something delicious from there bakery. Thanks to Ingri, this has become my go to dinner treat for any of my new mommy friends after they come home from the hospital! Enjoy!

Epiphanie Camera Bags

I am loving my Epiphanie Camera Bag from the very talented Maile Wilson. Belle is the perfect bag for this mommy of two that is usually carrying my DSLR with me and doesn't want to carry an extra bag just for my camera. It has velcro panels inside that let you adjust them to whatever lens/camera/diaper configuration works best for you! If I have both of the bambinos with me, I will just bring the camera with the one lens.  Then I stuff the rest of the bag full of diapers, wipes, my essentials (iPhone, wallet and lip gloss) and snacks for the bambinos. I love that there is finally a stylish and functional camera bag out there for women. With my obsessions for purses, I might need one in every color!

Favorite Baby Things - ITZBEEN Timer

If you have a new baby in your home, the ITZBEEN timer is one of my must haves!  I first heard about the ITZBEEN timer from One Fabulous Mom as one of her favorite things. It was a life savor for me! The ITZBEEN keeps track of the last time you changed the baby's diaper, fed the baby, when they went to sleep and an extra one for an type of reminder that you need. In my case that was taking my meds from the c-section surgery. There is also a tab on the bottom to remind you of which side you last breastfeed on. You are so sleep deprived that you can hardly remember your last name, so you need something that reminds you when you last did everything.  The ITZBEEN timer is so lightweight that it is great to carry around in your diaper bag with you when you are out and about and need a reminder of your schedule. I seriously wouldn't have been able to function without it when Landon and Tatum were newborns. It comes in three colors (blue, pink and green). I have the pink of course! If you have a new baby this is a MUST HAVE!
