Cheers to the Weekend

We are headed home after a week in Florida for Spring Break.  It's still hard adjusting to taking vacations at the designated times for Landon's Kindergarten school year.

We had a fun week full of pool time, Disney World and beach time. But we are eager to have the weekend to settle back down at home in our OWN beds! I'm kind of a big fan of returning on a Friday from your vacation instead of Sunday. It gives you two days to unwind and get ready for the week ahead.

Will I see any of you at the Jouer Cosmetics event at Nordstrom in Walnut Creek? What are your plans for the weekend?

Cheers,

Goodbye Disney World and sunset on the airplane ride home!
I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! If you are in the Bay Area, I hope that you are staying dry!  I apologize for being so MIA lately.  It's been so crazy with the move and our already planned before we decided to move vacation that I haven't had much time for anything else.

I'm finally starting to edit our pictures from our vacation trip to Florida.  In the meantime, here are some of my Instagram pictures from our trip.  Are you on Instagram?  If so, let's be friends. My Instagram name is SavvyinSanFrancisco. Or even if you are not on Instagram, you can follow me here!

Friday Fun from Florida

Hopefully lots of lunches and dinners by the ocean!
And lots of good sand digging time!
Plus a lot of snuggly time with the family.
Happy Friday!  We are taking a mini vacation in Florida for some grandparent time, beach time and then some Magic Kingdom time! This time Landon says that he will ride some rides.  We went last year and we only rode "It's a Small World" (only because I tricked him into getting on it). This is what I am hoping for this weekend - lots of beach time, pool time, eating outside in the 80 degree weather and lots of snuggly time with the bambinos!  What are you guys up to this weekend?

Have a fabulous weekend!

Savvy in the Magic Kingdom

We were nervous about spending so much money on a place that Landon was refusing to go to. We kept asking him if he wanted to go to Disney World and he kept saying no. In the end we decided that we would take him to the Magic Kingdom (a big playground with a lot of toy stores) and he was IN! We went with the expectations that he wouldn't ride a single ride, but would enjoy looking around. Landon has never been very adventurous when it comes to rides, merry go rounds or trains. But we were pleasantly surprised that he got on It's a Small World and he loved it! Okay...so we didn't tell him what it was and we just waited in the line and then boarded him onto a boat and then we were off, but STILL...he was on a ride! I am just glad that he loved it. Baby steps on getting him to try new things and realize that they can be fun.  I didn't take a lot of pictures since Disney World isn't about photographing it, but enjoying it. I ended up only taking a couple on my camera and a couple on my iPhone.

Savvy in Melbourne Beach, Florida

On Friday, we packed up at Boca Raton and headed north towards Orlando. What was supposed to be a three hour drive turned into a five hour trip with bathroom stops, coffee stops and stopping for lunch and beach time in Melbourne Beach. The cold front had moved in, so it was pretty windy and on the colder side at the beach, but we had a fun time running around collecting shells and enjoying the soft sand. I even let myself be photographed (something I am trying to be better about since I would like to prove my existence in this family).
